Our tools

In order to undertake our research, we build custom tools, software and resources. Here you can find out more about our tools and try them out for yourself. If you’d like more information about how we can use these tools to help you make the games you want to make, or to suggest future developments, get in touch!

The Video Game Dialogue Corpus

An open-source collection of dialogue from role-playing video games. VGDC 1.0 contains 6.2 million words spoken by 13,000 characters from 50 video games. This is the largest collection of consistently coded dialogue in games that maps lines of dialogue to characters and branching choice structures. And it's growing all the time thanks to our collaborators.
